I have to admit that I watched the President's State of the Union address with earnest. I was yearning to hear from one person about what was really happening. Unfortunately, it was like listening to a parent (or more like some of the coaches I know), berating a group of kids. I liked it. However, of course no one is satisfied. Not enough time spent on terror, not enough time spent on healthcare, too much time spent on the Supreme Court decision, too much time spent on gay people in the military. You listen to the words during the speech, you nod your head in agreement and get inspired towards bipartisan agreement, and then you leave the room and become someone else. I still believe that our elected officials want what's best for the people of the United States, but the end result isn't always what we want.
Just once, I'd like to see a handful of people vote with the other side.
